reading from the Malayalam paragraph given below.
Download Anjali old lipi font installer from here and
double click the icon to run it. You may have to disable the pop-up
blocker temporarily, if it is enabled in your browser.The font
installer will run and setup internet explorer automatically so that
unicode malayalam will be displayed properly

മലയാളത്തില് എഴുതിയ മോനിറ്ററിന്റെ ചിത്രം. ഇനി ഇതിന്റെ ആവശ്യമില്ല. ഈ
പേജില് എനിക്ക് നേരിട്ട് മലയാളത്തില് ടൈപ്പുചെയ്യാം, നിങ്ങളുടെ
കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറില് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അത് അതേപടി വായിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാം. ഒരു
കാര്യം കൂടി ഇതോടൊപ്പം പറയട്ടെ. മലയാളത്തിലെ ഏത് യൂണിക്കോഡ് ഫോണ്ട്
ഉപയോഗിച്ചുവായിച്ചാലും ഈ വാചകങ്ങള് ഇതേപോലെതന്നെ വായിക്കുവാന്
സാധിക്കും. ഇതാണ് മറ്റു മലയാളം ഫോണ്ടുകളെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് മലയാളം യൂണിക്കോഡ്
ഫോണ്ടുകളുടെ വ്യത്യാസം.
സാധാരണഗതിയിൽ
ഇത്രയും കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തുകഴിയുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ വിന്റോസിന്റെ എക്സ്.പി
മുതലുള്ള വേർഷനുകൾ മലയാളം വ്യക്തമായി കാണിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. ഏതെങ്കിലും
കാരണവശാൽ ഇനിയും മലയാളം ഫോണ്ടുകൾ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ
ഡിസ്പ്ലേചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ താഴെപ്പറയുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾകൂടി ചെയ്യൂ.
1. കൺട്രോൾ പാനൽ തുറക്കുക. (Start > settings > control panel)
2. കൺട്രോൾ പാനലിൽനിന്നും Regional & language options സെലക്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുക
3. ഇപ്പോൾ തുറക്കുന്ന ചെറിയവിന്റോയിൽനിന്നും Languages എന്ന ടാബ് സെലക്ട് ചെയ്യുക.

അതിൽ Supplimental language support എന്നൊരു ഭാഗമുണ്ട്. അതിലെ Install
files for complex script and right-to-left languages എന്ന
വരിക്കുനേരെയുള്ള ചെറിയ കള്ളി ടിക് മാർക്ക് ചെയ്ത് OK ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്യുക.
ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ ഭാഷകൾക്കായുള്ള സപ്പോർട്ട് ഫയലുകൾ വിന്റോസ് ഇൻസ്റ്റാൾ ചെയ്യും.

ഡിസ്പ്ലേ കൂടുതല് മനോഹരമാക്കാന്:
ഇനി
ഒരു ചെറിയ ഡിസ്പ്ലേ സെറ്റിംഗുകൂടി ചെയ്താല്, നമുക്ക് നല്ല വടിവൊത്ത
രീതിയില് ഈ ഫോണ്ടുകളെ സ്ക്രീനില് കാണാം. അതിനായി താഴെപ്പറയുന്ന
സെറ്റിംഗുകള് ചെയ്യുക.
1. വിന്റോസിലെ Start മെനു തുറന്ന് Control Panel സെലക്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുക.
2. കണ്ട്രോള് പാനലിലെ Display എന്ന ഐക്കണില് ഡബിള് ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്യുക.
3. ഡിസ്പ്ലേ വിന്റോ തുറക്കും. അതില്നിന്നും Appearance എന്ന ടാബില് ക്ലിക്കുചെയ്യുക.
4. അവിടെ Effects എന്നെഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ബട്ടണ് കാണാം. അതില് ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്യുക.

ഇപ്പോള് പുതിയ ഒരു വിന്റോ തുറക്കും. അതില് രണ്ടാമത്തെ വരിയില് ഇങ്ങനെ
കാണാം ‘Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts' ഈ
വരിയുടെ തുടക്കത്തില് ഒരു ചതുരക്കള്ളിയുണ്ട്. അതിനുള്ളില് ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം
ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്ത് ടിക് മാര്ക്ക് ഇടുക. അതിനുശേഷം ഈ വരിയുടെ താഴെയുള്ള വലിയ
ചതുരക്കള്ളിയിലെ Arrow അമര്ത്തി, വരുന്ന ലിസ്റ്റില്നിന്നും Clear Type
സെലക്ട് ചെയ്യുക.
6. OK ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്യുക. വീണ്ടും ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം കൂടി OK ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്തുകഴിയുമ്പോള് ഡിസ്പ്ലേ വിന്റോയും അടയ്ക്കാം.
7. ഇനി കണ്ട്രോള് പാനല് വിന്റോ അടയ്ക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.
കുറിപ്പ്:
നിങ്ങളുടെ മോനിറ്ററിന്റെ ബ്രൈറ്റ്നെസ്,കോണ്ട്രാസ്റ്റ് സെറ്റിംഗുകള്
ശരിയായി അല്ല ഇപ്പോള് ഇരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കില് മേല്പ്പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങള്
ചെയ്തുകഴിയുമ്പോള് അക്ഷരങ്ങള് വളരെ നേരിയ രീതിയിലാവും കാണപ്പെടുക.
അങ്ങനെ കാണുന്നുവെങ്കില് ബ്രൈറ്റ്നെസും കോണ്ട്രാസ്റ്റും അഡ്ജസ്റ്റ്
ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാണ്.

Installing and configuring unicode malayalam fonts in windows xp and xp-sp2
Click here to run the font installation program.
Please note that this is an automatic font installation program. If you are using Internet Explorer, please click on "Run Button" of the download dialog box. This will install the fonts in your system.
Please click on "Run" for font installation in the following dialog box.
The download progress dialog will shoup next. Wait for this to complete.
Ignore this security warning and click on "Run" for font installation.
Click "Yes" for rachana unicode font installation.
Click on "Install"
Click "OK". Now the font is installed in your system. happy reading!!
Enabling Malayalam unicode font support in windows xp
In the control panel, Double click on Regional and language options
Click on Languages Tab
Put a tick mark on "Install files for complex script and right to left languages"
Put a tick mark on "Install files for East Asian Languages"
Want to make your font look beautiful
Double click on Display icon in control panel
Click on Appearance tab
Click on Effects button
Put a tick mark on "Use the following method to smooth the edges of screen fonts"
Select "ClearType" from the pull down menu
